How to Create Custom Gift Lists

Overview

Gifts on GiftBlazer are constantly evolving. As more cities and stores are added, there will be new treasures to find. To make sure that you can always keep track of the products that catch your eye, GiftBlazer allows you to create "Favorites".

It's super simple to use. Just click the heart icon on any product to add it to your "Favorites" list. That's it! You can then view all the products you're tracking by going to the Favorites page (also accessible using the heart icon in the top navigation bar).

But, you can take it a step further. You can create custom gift lists for anything you want. Is your mom's birthday a month away? Create "Bday ideas for Mom." Thinking about some seasonal updates to your wardrobe? Create "Autumn Accessories." Custom Lists are infinitely flexible and a great way for you to keep track of your finds and finish a purchase later.

Step-by-Step Instructions

   "Favorite" something in a GiftBlazer search

   Search GiftBlazer to find something interesting. Click the heart icon on one of the results to make it a "Favorite". You can tell when a result is favorited because the heart will be filled in.

   Click the heart icon again

   Clicking the heart icon on a product you already favorited will pop up a little menu that allows you to organize this product in your lists. By default, there's only an "All Favorites" list.

   Create a custom list

   To create your own, enter the name of the list into the Add new list field and then click the Add button. The new list is created and the product is automatically added to it.

   Favorite more products

   As you find more products you like, favorite them and then click the heart again to manage how they're organized. Clicking the checkmark next to a list will add the product to that list. And, as you might guess, unchecking will remove it from that list.

   Go to the Favorites page

   You can always access all of your favorites on the Favorites page. You'll see the "All Favorites" list by default. Your most recent favorites will be displayed first.

   Switch to your custom list

   The title of the current list is also a dropdown menu for switching lists. Click All Favorites and the Your Gift Lists menu comes up. Click the list you want to switch over to it.

   From this menu, you can also edit the name of an existing list or delete it. And, adding new lists works just like before.

   Rinse and repeat

   You've got the hang of it now! Keep adding favorites and creating lists as you see fit.

Special Note

Your favorites are stored privately in your browser. This means you don't need to create an account or log in to use them. Super easy! However, it also means that your favorites won't be available if you switch browsers or devices. It also means you might lose your favorites if you clear your browser's cookies or data.

Pro Tip

You can even share your custom lists on your website. Click the Share Lists button in the upper right of the Favorites page and then follow the steps on screen. You'll get the HTML code to copy and paste into your site.
