How to Use GiftBlazer's Autopilot

An explanation of what's going on behind the scenes when you use subscribe to an Autopilot-enabled plan.

Overview

As a store owner, you've got a lot on your plate. Between managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and providing top-notch customer service, the last thing you want to worry about is keeping your product listings up-to-date. That's where GiftBlazer's Autopilot feature comes in. Autopilot automatically selects products from your online store, monitors them for pricing and availability changes, and even swaps out products that aren't performing well.

With little more than putting in your store's URL and a credit card, you can start driving traffic and sales to your store through GiftBlazer. Here's how to get started...

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1
    Sign Up for GiftBlazer

If you haven't already, create your GiftBlazer account. Use your Google account or create a new account with an email address/password combination.

Note: If you use an email/password combination, you'll need to click the verification link sent to your email to activate your account. If you don't see it, check your spam folder for an email from "GiftBlazer Account" with the subject "Confirm Your Email Address for GiftBlazer"

  2. 2
    Put in Your Store's URL

After you create your account, you'll land on the Dashboard. A popup will display asking you to enter in your Store URL. This is the web address of your store (e.g. yourstore.com or shop.yourstore.com). Type it in and sit back as GiftBlazer starts to do its thing.

  3. 3
    See Your Recommended Products

GiftBlazer scans your online store to figure out what products you have and then makes intelligent recommendations about what to list for search results. In less than a minute, you'll see a list of 5-10 products that GiftBlazer thinks will perform well with shoppers.

You can deselect any products you don't want to list by clicking them (they'll fade to black and white).

  4. 4
Watch as GiftBlazer Fetches Everything for You

When you're ready, click List These Products. GiftBlazer then does a deep dive on each of those products to get their full descriptions, pricing, and more.

Note: Stay on the page until the process completes. Time will vary based on the number of products you're listing and your e-commerce platform (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce), but 15 seconds per product is a decent expectation to have. That's way faster than if you had to do it yourself!

  5. 5
Edit the Store Details (Only if Necessary)

GiftBlazer also does a deep dive on your store to get its name, logo, description, and address. If it gets everything it needs, you'll get a popup taking you to the Dashboard. If not, you'll be taken to the Edit Store page where you can fill in any missing details. The most critical items are your city, state, and address. GiftBlazer is a local search engine, so it needs to know where your store is in order to display your products to shoppers looking for gifts in your area.

  6. 6
Sign Up for an Autopilot-Enabled Plan

Autopilot plans allow you to truly "set it and forget it." GiftBlazer will analyze your site at least once a month to make adjustments (add/remove products, update pricing, etc.). You don't have to do a thing!

Go to Billing in the navigation bar and then click Manage. Select a plan, put in a credit card, and get on with your life!

  7. 7
Do Something Else That You Enjoy

That's really it. GiftBlazer will take it from here. You'll even get emailed a monthly report on your store's performance on GiftBlazer. There's no need to log back in unless you really want to. Isn't that the way you wished all your software worked?
